📦 NP 3D Viewer — Series 1 of 5
The Model Assignments tab is where you connect a .glb 3D model file to a WooCommerce product. This is the first step before anything appears on the product page — without a model assignment, the viewer has nothing to display.

This is a standalone admin page in your WordPress left sidebar, separate from the product edit page. Changes here apply globally and link a model URL to a specific product ID.
Field Reference
| Field | What to Enter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Product ID | Numeric WooCommerce product ID | Find it by hovering the product name in Products → All Products — the ID appears in the URL at the bottom of the browser. |
| Model URL | Full URL to a .glb file | Upload to WordPress Media Library and copy the URL, or host the file anywhere publicly accessible. |
| Scale | Numeric multiplier (default: 1.0) | Increase to make the model larger in the viewer. You can fine-tune per-product in the metabox. |
| Type | Generic, Glove, Bat, or Jersey | Category label used for filtering assignments. Does not affect the viewer itself. |
Click Save after adding each assignment. The model is now linked but won’t yet appear on the product page — you still need to enable the viewer on the product (see the Per-Product Metabox guide).

✅ Tip: After saving the assignment, open the product in WP Admin and toggle on 3D Viewer Enabled in the NexPoint 3D Configurator metabox. Then visit the frontend product page to confirm the viewer loads.
Common Issues
- Viewer doesn’t appear: Check that 3D Viewer Enabled is toggled on for that product.
- Blank viewer / nothing loads: Confirm the Model URL is publicly accessible — open it directly in a browser tab.
- Model looks wrong size: Adjust the Scale field up or down and save.
