📦 NP 3D Viewer — Series 2 of 5
The Settings tab in the NP 3D Viewer admin page controls site-wide viewer defaults. These apply to every product that has the viewer enabled, unless overridden at the product level.

Field Reference
| Setting | Default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Viewer Height | 500px | Controls the height of the 3D canvas on all product pages. Set in pixels — adjust based on your theme’s layout and typical product image size. |
| Auto-Rotate | On | When enabled, the model slowly spins when the viewer is idle. Customers can still drag to stop it. Can be overridden per-product. |
| Show Orbit Controls Hint | On | Displays a subtle “Drag to rotate · Scroll to zoom” hint overlay inside the viewer. Useful for first-time visitors unfamiliar with 3D navigation. |
ℹ️ Global vs Per-Product: These settings are the defaults. Any setting you configure in the product’s NexPoint 3D Configurator metabox takes precedence for that specific product.

When to Adjust These
- Viewer height: If your theme has narrow product columns or the viewer feels cramped, reduce to 380–420px. For large-format product pages, 600px+ works well.
- Auto-rotate: Disable globally if you have many products and motion feels distracting, then selectively enable per-product for hero items.
- Hint text: Turn off once your customer base is familiar with the viewer interaction.
