The Material Slots & Attribute Overrides section lets you map the internal mesh material names from your .glb file to customer-facing labels, and link those slots to WooCommerce attribute values. This is the bridge between your 3D model and the product configurator.

What’s in This Section

ElementWhat It Does
Interactive 3D PreviewA clickable preview of your model. Click any mesh — its material slot name highlights in the table below. Use this to discover the exact slot names without opening Blender.
Scan .glb Model for SlotsButton that reads the model file and auto-populates the slot name table from the GLB’s material list.
Material Slot TableLists each mesh material name (the internal 3D slot name) alongside a Display Label you can set for customer-facing use.
Attribute Overrides tabLink a WooCommerce attribute value directly to a color applied to a slot. Used for Simple 3D mode (non-wizard) color switching.

Finding Slot Names

  1. Make sure the product has a .glb model assigned and 3D Viewer Enabled toggled on.
  2. Click Scan .glb Model for Slots — the table populates with all material names from the file.
  3. Alternatively, click any mesh in the interactive 3D preview above — the corresponding row in the table highlights.
  4. Copy the exact slot name for use in Variation Wizard color slide configurations.
ℹī¸ Multi-zone slots: A single customer color selection can update multiple material zones at once. In the Variation Wizard color slide, enter slot names comma-separated: Logo1,Logo1_All
